Overview

Proximity cards are contactless cards that provide access rights to secure passage and payment systems with their technological features.

Proximity Card Features

  • Proximity cards operate at a frequency of 125kHz and have a memory of 32 bytes, allowing for contactless reading at a distance of up to 8 cm without contact with the reader.

  • Proximity cards that comply with ISO standards are the size of credit cards and can be printed on both surfaces using thermal and retransfer printing methods, as well as being available with offset printing.

  • Also known as proxy cards, proximity cards are effective within a range of 0-10 cm, making them suitable for portable use.

  • Due to the low cost of semi-finished products in card manufacturing, they are an attractive option for businesses with a high number of employees.

  • Proximity cards can be used in various systems such as personnel attendance control, access control, cafeteria control, check-in and check-out tracking, gym membership tracking, and turnstile access control systems.
