Overview

Magnetic stripe passive cards are plastic cards that do not contain any contactless or contact chips, featuring a plastic body and a magnetic stripe. In cards with magnetic stripe technology, data is encrypted onto the magnetic stripe. The characteristics of magnetic cards reduce the likelihood of data being accidentally erased or damaged, thereby increasing reliability.

Magnetic stripe cards can be used for applications such as customer loyalty cards, event entry cards, fair cards, and membership cards. Magnetic stripe cards are also used for access control in secure buildings, hotel rooms, and other facilities.
